When i tried to lift fasted in the morning i was so much weaker and i was very hungry as soon as i trained for about 10 minutes. i recommend you to eat something light before training. maybe a shake, liquids dont make me very full personally.
Maybe it would be ok to take it a bit easy on the first few days of the new job. Focus on one thing at a time.
