My EconoProwler cost a bit north of $300. Well worth it.
And I say that as it lives several towns away from me and only my friend gets to use it - it was still worth every penny.

There is evidence that strength training actually decreases pain. But don't do too much too fast. Pay attention to each lift. Keep notes. If you consistently have more pain after a certain lift, you'll need to find ways to modify that lift.

Bubble Popper
I once called Jay Schroeder, a very innovative strength coach, about information on plyometric training. Schroeder spent a hour with me on the phone.
One Thing Lead To Another
During the conversation we ventured off into Depth Landings and the positive training effects they elicit. That is an obscure training method that has been around since at least the 1960s.
"You are going to need a bigger boat." (Roy Scheider in Jaws, the movie)
After my phone conversation with Schroeder, I hung to the phone and to paraphrase Jaws, I mumbled to myself...
"I need a bigger brain."
Faster Gun
It's a like the old west. No matter how fast a draw you are, there is always someone faster.
In this case, there is always someone smarter.
"Research is what I am doing when I don't know what I am doing." Einstein
A documentary on him went into his initial miscalculations on "Light Bending."
Take Home Message
No matter how smart you are (or in my case, how smart that I THINK I am), there is more you don't know than you know.
However, as a former hippy back in the late 1960s, I saw light bend after smoking a few joints while having a few beers.

Kenny, you didn't sit around listening very carefully to "in da godda da vida" while looking at black light posters did you?

Not at all, just don't drop before noon and drink lots of tang.

Looks like you're right doc. I tried a squat and forward lunge with no weight doing 8 reps for both and my knee pain is less, not more! Unbelievable! Thanks!!
