Hello, I recently read the ExRx pages about winged scapula and the corrective exercises to strengthen the serratus anterior and rhomboid muscles. The ones I'm going to try are the incline shoulder raise and my own variation of cable rowing.
My question is more about 'feel' and the best way to develop a muscle like this. Should I ever feel a burn in the serratus anterior or rhomboid muscles? I imagine training for posture and muscle stability is different from training for strength or hypertrophy, but I'm not sure. Either way, I thought I'd check here and ask: given I'm mainly looking to correct my scapula, what sort of weights should I try when performing these exercises, and for how many reps?
