I am planning to buy elliptical trainer and use the full potential of the equipment to have a healthy body. Losing weight is very important for me and daily exercise is what I need. Is this the best choice for me?

Is the air around your residential area polluted? If it's not, then consider going out and have a jog in the neighbourhood.

IMO, the money is better spent on equipments such as dumbbell, which you can use to help build muscle and burn fat. Gaining muscle means that you'll be able to burn more calories, even while you're not doing anything!

The calories you're bout to burn while you're not doing anything is called resting metabolic rate (RMR), & it is much higher in people with more muscle.

Also, diet is much more important when it comes to weight loss. Focus on what you eat and the weight will come off your body.

An elliptical machine is a cardio machine. It isn't very good for building muscle, strength, power, balance, mobility, sport-specific skills, etc. Likewise, I wouldn't really consider it a full-body workout.

PS) If you plan on doing a lot of traditional cardio, you may want to mix it up a little. Relying too much on one machine or activity can lead to overuse injuries.
