Hello! I've found this variation of lateral side raise http://forum.bodybuilding.com/attachmen ... 1135269983" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, tried it out and it seems to work for my side delts pretty well if not a bit better than the usual variation (which I have a feeling is a harder one to get right as well). What's your opinion about this variation? Does it work the side delts as much as the traditional variation or is there more front delt recruitment? Also i'm not completely sure, but shouldn't be albows in line with the shoulders when performing this variation? Thanks for your opinion =)

I would guess there is (much) more involvement of the front delt... can you do more/use more weight with these compared to the following?

I was taught, you really isolate the lateral delts when doing the above version: upper body slightly bent-over and in the end-position: elbow not higher than shoulders, elbows higher than wrists, pinkie higher than thumb.
