Hello. I have this stupid problem that i just can not fix, so i hoped maybe i could get a few tips from you guys,
My left shoulder has developed much, much better, even tho it is injured. My chest days usually end with my left shoulder hurting so much, that i have to stop,
but that is not the topic. I have always taken it a bit easier on the left, but still, the development is so much better.

Can not see it that well in the picture but it is there. What can i do to make my right shoulder look the same? I am really proud of my left one.
It is nice and round, but the right shoulder looks kinda flat in the middle. Am i stuck because of genetics or is there something more to it?
The exercises i do for both are the same and even tho my right hand is the dominating one, i still try to focus on it more while doing the exercises.

Re: Imbalanced shoulders
It looks like your insertion points are a little asymetric. There's nothing you can do about that.
Re: Imbalanced shoulders
That is too bad, my right rear and side delts are really bothering me.
Re: Imbalanced shoulders
Bothering you in terms of appearance, or hurting?
I honestly can't see much difference. Both look pretty good to me. I asked my wife to look at the photo and asked her if she could see any difference between L and R. She said, "The right one has a few more bumps." :)
I'd certainly urge you to work on finding ways to train the shoulders without pain. Are you familiar with Eric Cressey's writing?

Re: Imbalanced shoulders
Thank you for your answer. From this picture it can not be seen as well. The appearance is what bothers me. The shoulder pain is probably because of some form errors. It is only there when i do high volume on chest day. Like 5x12-15.Jungledoc wrote:Bothering you in terms of appearance, or hurting?

I even stopped doing flyes. I will check out Eric Cressey. Can't hurt.
Thank you again.
Re: Imbalanced shoulders
So your goals are obviously more appearance-oriented than just strength. I'm curious how your shoulders compare strength-wise.
Re: Imbalanced shoulders
Well, i switch it up every week. 1 week 5x12-15 2nd 4x8 (30-45 sec rests on volume days, longer on 4x8) and sometimes military press 5x5.
I have not really gone over 60kg (bar+weights)(I had a shoulder ligament injury on my right arm, and it is still healing). I do side laterals with 10-15kg. It is hard to tell the weights i am using really, since i am just picking the weight i feel i can reach the volume. Also, since i train fasted I am probably a little bit weaker in the gym.
Also yea, i am more appearance oriented, but that is because the way bodybuilders train is so much more enjoyable to me. I love the burn, after a long day it really clears the mind, or will help you get ready for the day, depending when i train. I have tried strength training routines, but I find it a bit too slow for me (that is just my opinion).

Re: Imbalanced shoulders
I mean are they about equal in strength?
Sorry we couldn't give you a clear answer, but the shoulders look OK to me.
Good luck with your training.

Re: Imbalanced shoulders
Oh sorry, strength the right one is a little bit behind. Can feel it most when i do high volume reps.
It is okay, i guess i am just stuck with my genetics.

Yeah! Aren't we all.
