I am new to this website as well as new to my current reasoning to exercise. I'm 68 years old and have had a number of people, doctors and family mostly, ask me what my longtime goals for exercise are? Now my answer is "To be healthy enough to do exciting things with my youngest daughter's children and she's not even planning to get pregnant for a couple more years. I am near the morbidly obese stage, so I need to get with the program! I have a treadmill and a recumbent exercise bike at home. I have recently been doing 5 miles per day on the treadmill, broken in 3 increments, and target a heart rate of around 120.
