Odd exercise

Post by Jungledoc » Wed Jun 11, 2008 10:46 pm

My friend and sometime workout partner Jeff does this. I hadn't heard of or seen it anywhere. I thought it was a nifty exercise for forearms and grip. Has anyone see it?

Never seen that, but frankly, it's very nnovative, combining a swing with a flip grip type of thing. I'm sure the MAA types have seen it.

Nice. Must be hard with or without the hold. I've seen people juggle kettlebells, maybe it's for the same reason - to get that "catch" in midair and deceleration of the weight with your muscles.

Jeff trains very hard. Goes all out. He's self-taught, like me. We disagree about some things, but he's great to be around, and to work out with. He locks out the catch very solidly on this, and holds it solid for several seconds.

That's pretty impressive KB work on the video. I've never handled a KB, so no clear idea about them. I'd like to try them.
