That's the same in my gym. We only have DB's up to 110lbs but you can pretty much always get DB's from 90-110lbs.

the heaviest in my gym is 40k, I guess that's like 100lbs? Maybe slightly less? I only use them for rows, I reckon I could probably press them a couple of times but I don't really like to do low rep pressing with dumbells. I'm too pretty to risk smashing my face up.

The REALLY annoying thing though about the dumbell situation in my gym is some idiots dropped the heavier ones til they were unusable and for safety reasons they had to get rid of them. Means that there's only one of most of the heaviest dumbells. Nae use to anyone!

So if you'll miss the meeting, just stay home!

I'm leaving Chiang Mai in the morning. 4 flights over about 30 hours, with the only sleep being whatever I can get on the plane. Ugh. I'd better go to bed.

I still have DOMS in my lats from Saturday....

DOMS are the weirdest thing...

I've been doing weighted and unweighted neutral grip pull ups for weeks now. No pain. I started doing those ladders (1,2,3,4,5) at beginning of this month.... No pain...

On Sat, I had 40 mins to train and really needed to get some heavyish benching done. Took 30 mins to get warm up plus benching done. I decided to run down the clock with pull up ladders. To account for lack of time, I kept rest at a strict 15 seconds. This is all that changed... My lats have been killing me. This is a joke, though.

Ach well, weighted pull ups tonight

anyone who's shoulder training has been a little stale recently, try this

snatch
clean and press
clean
high pull

3 rounds of 5 to 10 reps, no rest between exercises, all exercises done from a hang.

Are you man (or woman) enough?

if you are, my advice is start light

It's -36C in Alert right now. I think that's the most northernly weather station. How cold was it where you are?

Read an article about pull up ladders, just before KPj posted about doing them.

I gave them a shot last night and they are now in my repertoire.

I think I'll also throw them in for hanging leg raises, dips and inverted rows every now and then.

well sheesh it was ONLY -23C here but goshdarnit it was COLD :green: The record was -42.6C way up north in Sweden the other night.

Today it's -3C and it feels really warm, haha. I want to go back to Grand Cayman.
