Speaking of music, I'm performing tomorrow.

My sister has organised a charity night and I was roped into singing a few songs. I don't sing unless i'm full of whisky, and the only thing I can really sing is the doors or other rock type songs which require more of a controlled shout than a boys 2 men kind of voice. The issue is I don't really have any sober recollection of actually singing. I'm not a singer. More of an idiot than an act. My dirty little secret is "The Doors" and on the rare occasion that i'm drunk and near a Karaoke, I have an overwhelming desire to act like Jim.

So, tomorrow is the day. I'm woefully unprepared. People keep asking if i've rehearsed. Huh? Rehearsed?

I'm actually full of dread so i'm hoping I can get on the level when the time comes.

Yip, it's in a function suit in Hampden. 20 quid per ticket, plenty left (30 or so), you're more than welcome :P My sister is singing (she can actually sing), some other guy who has a record deal is, too. Hes more of a craig david than a jim morrison though.

Buffet. Not only that but, a Buffet for 150 people, with only 110 or so actually going.

Doors open at 7pm.

All ticket sales etc go to charity (Beatson)

A toungue-in-cheek drag act is hosting it. He's like a skinny alan carr.

There's a small group of meatheads from a warehouse gym in glasgow going, too, so finishing the buffet shouldn't be much trouble.

This has been in my "favorite quotes" on Facebook for a couple of years:

"Endless analysis is a poor substitute for actually rolling up your sleeves and doing the work. It has appeal to people who like to procrastinate. Experience is the best teacher."--Stephen Johnson

Favorite quotes used to be in a more prominent place on the Info page than it is now. Too bad, I have some good ones.

I remember Stephen saying that. It was in response to one of Poly's questions if I remember correctly.

Remember that guy? He was awful. I remember him bragging about getting kicked off a breastfeeding forum for trolling. Such a strange hobby to have.

as much as I liked the sound of a skinny Glaswegian Alan Carr, I've been roped into a Eurovision party instead. I'm with you in spirit though Kenny, give em hell!

Wow, $18.05 for all that. I paid $15 in Yellowknife for 3 eggs, bacon and coffee.

It's just past midnight in PNG. I'm officially off call and on vacation. For the next week I'll be lolling on a beach or floating lazily in the surf watching fish play in the most beautiful coral in the world. Sure, I'd rather be working long hours, and wiling away my off time with you guys here, but my family obligations demand that I go along.
