Happy Easter! ... My wife got me the Peterson's Field Guide to Moths of Northeastern North America. Should come in handy later this year when the weather warms up.

give me 20 secs on the clock...

- well, that's not my preferred Moth guide; but whatever, you gotta start somewhere.
- you exchange gifts for Easter ?
- Nerd Alert!
- nothing says romance like Moth Guides in your Easter basket
- were they out of Miller's Essays on the New England Slug
- what's the best gun for defense against moths

and..scene

No but seriously, it's sorta cool when your wife is in sync with you like that.

There are some really pretty/interesting moths out there. It's a very diverse group. Plus I do a lot of insect photography during the warmer months, and it's nice to know what I'm looking at. I already have field guides for butterflies and dragonflies/damselflies.

We had 2 Americans staying with us since Thursday (they left yesterday). The friend I live with his a dual passport, his dad is american and half his family are over there. They're originally from Virginia. His sister and her b/f moved from New York to London about 6 months ago, and came to stay with us in sunny scotland on Thursday.

Had an amazing time with them. Cooked and ate lots of amazing food, drank too much beer and tried to swap accents - they tried to learn scottish and we tried to sound like we were from New York. The only convincing vocabulary I have with a new york accent is, "remember me? I'm bennie blanco from the Bronx!".

When they attempted Scottish, their word choice was, "awww for f*** sake!".

In Scotland it's polite to use profanity.
Thanks TimD

I stopped at Quittapahilla Preserve after work today, but I didn't see much ... just Canada geese, mallards and a few songbirds.

My 6-year-old just discovered the Hobbit/Lord of the Rings movies. Now he's pretending to be Golum and asking for Lord of the Rings Legos.

lol That sounds pretty cute. Next thing you know he'll be referring to the Legos as "the precious".

Those are some pretty good movies. Definitely favorites of mine.

That's what happens when you talk down to new people and treat them like idiots. No new blood - same arguements get hashed and rehashed and then hashed some more.
Thanks TimD.

Don't be so harsh on us. We talk down to regulars and old-timers too.

True but that is a welcomed and expected practice.
Thanks TimD.

Most of the newbies go to Reddit, or Bodybuilding.com and of course there are lots of little boards that spring up all over the place. If you want to see dead, look at DrSquat.com.

the same arguments come up because the same questions get asked over and over. Nobody ever asks a "new" question, at least not in the general forum. Get the occasional golden nugget in the diet section though.

Ever actually looked at the BB.com forums? Urgh, not for me.
