Since Deadliest Warrior is only hypothetical, why not match up different branches of the US Military? They could do Navy Seals vrs Delta Force, or Army Rangers vrs Force Recon? ... Could be fun to stir up a little friendly rivalry.

Realistically, I think several countries have special forces on par with the US. ..... However, the US military has one big advantage. Some countries have armies that are relatively small, but well-trained, well-equipped and highly professional. Others have armies that are large, but not as well trained or equipped. The US military is large, well-trained, well-equipped and highly professional.

Of course, I prefer the "ancient" matchups. One I'd really like to see would be Hannibal vrs Saladin as a 5-on-5 scenario. Five Carthaginians on a war elephant vrs. five Muslim knights on horseback.

Sun Tzu vs. Vlad the Impaler tonight! ... My money is on Dracula.

Weapons for Sun Tzu are the Chu Ko Nu (repeating crossbow), the Zhua (long-handled claw), the Jian (a straight double-edged sword) and the Huo Chien (incendiary attack).

Weapons for Vlad the Impaler are the Steel Crossbow, the Halberd, the Kilij (a curved sword) and the Hand Cannon.

I was right ... Vlad the Impaler won by a pretty wide margin. His most effective weapon (in the simulation) was the Kilij (a curved sword). Sun Tzu's most effective weapon was the Jian (a straight double-edged sword).

Did they talk about tactics or strategy at all? My impression of the show is they spend a lot of time on weapons. I didn't see the episode but I would think the Sun Tzu would have an advantage in that regard.

The Chu Ko Nu was invented after Sun Tzu's death.

Nothing compares to the Valley Commando!!!

Special weapons - 8 cans of Stella Artois and a Donner Kebab with extra chilli sauce.

Special skills - Very high pain threshold due to years of drinking and substance abuse, and the ability to disorientate, confuse and sometimes blind his opponent with incoherent babble and spitting while talking

Makes you proud to be Welsh
