This week I met with a physician and he diagnosed me with flexible flatfeet. I found this page and the symptoms are spot on
http://www.foothealthfacts.org/footankl ... atfoot.htm
I can't walk for more than 15 minutes before I need to rest and I've been prone to shin splints since forever. Now the physician gave exercises to improve my condition as well as a prescription for orthosis for my shoes. I don't know about you but in my corner of the world (Quebec, Canada) these are sold for at least 400$.
What I simply need is a shoe insert with arch support in order to develop it, won't the 30$ drug store variety or even running/walking shoes that has arch support will suffice or do I really need the custom made-came down from heaven ones that only specialized store can offer?
Any of you had the same problem? which way did you go and did it improve your condition?
Off topic discussions. Feel free to talk about anything here.

Try it and see. If the $30 ones from the drugstore don't help you're only out about (let's see here) less than $40.
