cooking does not preserve meat. It's a temporary change. It will kill bacteria, but not prevent bacteria or mold from growing in the future.
Salt (sugar also) is a preservative. It prevents bacteria and mold from growing.

It wasn't meant as a smart --- reply...I really didn't know how long humans have been using fire. My argument is I don't see the benefits of not cooking food...aside from maybe people who prefer the taste.TimD wrote:loebner-absolutely
