Best routine ever

Post by pdellorto » Fri Nov 07, 2008 8:46 pm

This came up before, but I couldn't find it.

This routine was posted a while back on the Sherdog forums. Basically, "if your routine looks more like this than like Starting Strength, you need to fix your routine."

http://www.sherdog.net/forums/f13/pleas ... ne-425640/

I'm re-posting it because I'm not sure everyone saw it. Also, I suggest Jungledoc do this routine until I catch up to his lifts.

"Leg curls (3 sets of 15-20): These work the back of your quads."

Hahaha thanks Peter. I love stuff like this. This one was an absolute classic.

I'll start right away. I've been looking for something to kick-start my gunz, and to make my upper pecs really pop, and I think this is just the ticket. I will add some hammer curls once in a while, though, just for completeness.

You know you’ve been doing good on these when you can grasp a ten pound plate with your meavage (male cleavage).
Can't everybody?

Good point, Dr. J. It's sadly lacking in hammer curls, too. You need those for the peak.

But the guy has a good point - dumbbells are dangerous. With no machine to keep you in the right ROM you can get hurt. Better to stick with a E-Z curl with a couple nickles on it and just rep out for the burn than get hurt with DBs. DBs for DBs, I say. ;)

Of course, you can always do 21s for guns.

How the hell did that end up on an MMA forum?

They've got wide-ranging boards, including ones that discuss strength and conditioning methods for fighters.

I don't even know what to call this. It's not a strength program. It's not a conditioning program. It's not a bodybuilding program. It's not a general fitness program. It's not sport-specific.

Well, it's really all of those things. You get bigger, stronger, faster, imcrease your endurance. It also helps to reverse male-pattern baldness, probably because it generates so much testosterone.

SWEET! I'm gonna switch to that routine. I started losing my hair at 16 and was completely bald at 25.

I've finally found that miracle routine that does ALL !
