I liked the show in season 1 much more than as of late. For me, they (the show's writers and/or producers) just take too freaking long to solve one of their mysteries. For example, it took a full season just to open the [email protected] hatch, and that was the season finale. Because I have to see something to the end, I'm mentally stuck watching the show until they take it off the air. If I start a show that I'm kinda interested in .. I have to see it to the end .. even if I fast forward thru most of it via DVR.

My wife and I used to watch the Tom Baker doctor years ago. We then lost track of it until the new series started. In Canada they delay the broadcast several month from the BBC airing so I download the episodes a day or 2 after they air in the UK, then watch them again when they eventually show up on CBC. The season finale is on tonight on CBC.

Sorry. Not very intelectual or refined, but I like them. My brother-in-law (who hates that kind of show) records some and burns them to DVD, along with several shows that my wife follows. His tastes are more like hers, so she gets more shows she likes. He sends a small package of the DVDs and some magazines about once a month. We get them watched in about 3 days. There is only one station in PNG, which carries a few US, a few Australian and a few locally-produced shows.
Dr. Who, Torchwood, Life on Mars (UK version), Battlestar Galatica (post 80's), Supernatural, Psyche, Monk .... I think that is most of my list that I watch and pay attention to ...
Here's my list of background noise ... Heroes, Life, Bones, My Own Worst Enemy, LOST, Chuck, the Office, Family Guy, the Simpsons (when I program at home I need some background noise .. when I'm at work, I need some sort of music) ... that "off" button might come in handy but then it's too quiet for me to focus, not sure why but I focus better if there's entertaining noise in the background
