Is it possible to gain muscle and loose fat?

Well as far as I know its practicly impossible, maybe if your a real begginer (meaning your first month or 2 to exercise), what do you say?

You can do it the first year or so. Especially if you are fat, lift heavy and eat low carb with plenty of protein and fat. I was doing both for at least that first year, maybe a little longer.

Yes but i'm not fat lol, im at like 12% fat, possible 11%, but I think 12% and I wana go to like 9% fat.

You probably won't gain muscle while you are doing it then. But you never know, it may be possible.

If you add muscle without losing fat, you are increasing your percent of muscle tissue, and decreasing your percent body fat. If you're not fat, then just try to add muscle for a while and see what happens. I'll bet you start looking and feeling leaner.

Theoretically, if one hovers at about their metabolic requirements without going for a clear-cut bulk/cut, wouldn't even a small surplus (provided that one is training) be utilized in muscle growth while any deficiency result in fat loss? Obviously both can't happen at exactly the same time, but is there any value in very minor cuts/bulks of say a weekly duration?
