Will the Grubex I just bought kill the earthworms in my yard too?

I hope not...

Does anyone know?

Keep your lawn fertilized and mowed and you shouldn't have any problems. You don't need pesticides.

I just knew you were gonna say that...

now I feel way to guilty to put it on my lawn, even thought the bastards are eating my grass, and the neighborhood skunk loves to dine at my house (ie dig holes in my yard).

You might try using parasitic nematodes which eat their way through the grub. Check out http://www.gardensalive.com and search for grub control.

i've used Grubex, and it seems to work. it's not really a permanent solution since you have to reapply, but it lasted the summer.

didn't appear to kill my earthworms but i didn't really check...

now if i could find a way to kill all the japanese beetles in a 10 mile radius....

Check with your local nursery and ask if they have beneficial nematodes or parasitic wasps. Animals dig up the lawn to get to the grubs, so now you have two problems. Once you kill off the food source of the animals, they will hopefuly move on. Grubs feed on the roots, causung the turf to pull up easily.
