Phil--Friday you squtted 110 KG a total of 12 reps! But yesterday you only went to 8 reps of 85 KG. Why did you cut back so much?

I squat at two different depths. On the day i deadlift i use a much wider stance and go way below parallel and use less weight, on my other lower day i only got to parallel and can therefore use a bit more weight.
We have two different drinks crates at the gym that are used to check depth. As i'm 6'2" the larger one takes me just below parallel as i have long legs, the other crate is less than my handspan so it's pretty low, i guess about 8". Hence the reason for the lighter weight.

So it's parallel squats vs. full squats then? That makes sense to me.

Good job on the DLs.

I had a kid doing face pulls on the lat pulldown the other day. We got a lot of strange looks.

700 kg on the bench! I'm assuming that would be a PR!

Hmm...I looked over the last page of your training log and didn't notice squats or deads?

Bad left knee at the moment, aggravated my cartlidge. I'm hoping it will sort itself out, which it seems to be doing. A few more weeks without any leg work and then i'll be easing back gently, something i failed to do last time. If it flares up again i'll be off to the doctors for a scan.

BOOM!!! That's what i was after. Next i'll try + 5kg
Congratulations! That is really nice.
It's hard to make steady progess in this kind of exercise. My goal is only 5x5 BW chin-up(supinated) now.

Thanks.
It took me about 2 months to go from 5x5 with my bodyweight to 5x5 with the added weight. So i guess it'll be around Xams when i can do 5x5 with 5kgs.
