Thanks man.nygmen wrote:Good work.
You know the Waxy Maise may be putting on the pounds too. But fries are tasty.
I have dropped a couple pounds in a short amount of time.....so I am feeling better. Really watching what I put in my face.....except for today at lunch...lol. And that Maize.....not sure if its helping.....there are so many variables going on it's hard to pinpoint what's doing what. I have been using it and will continue to use it.....just because something is working. Bank girl has noticed a difference in my legs and arms here lately.....(yeah...the look good naked thing...hahaha)....so I don't think I'll venture too far from what I'm doing right now.
And yeah.....those damn fries are tasty.....
I would just use the handle. Unless you are going to pull into your chest with strict form.I see some straight bars online too.....thoughts?
Some things to keep in mind:
Make sure you put a plate on the back end of the bar. Without that weight it starts flailing all over the place.
I stand upright more to take some strain off my lower back, and pull into my gut. When I'm thinking about it, my mind muscle is on my lower lats. So when I know I'm doing it right my mid back burns, but the outside, like the bottom of my rib cage. If you bend over more and pull more towards your chest, make sure you retract your scapula and hit your upper back.
I use some body english, but feel the exercise in my back. Try not to use too much weight and have to jerk the weight around just to move it.
Thanks for watching man...
Nice on the BORs!
I have had the same problem with DBs. I tried 1" pipe, but that's just a little too big (or was it 3/4" ID pipe?). However the nearest metric equivalent is just right, so if you can get of some of that you can make as many as you want, very cheaply. Actually, I started doing higher-volume rows, so I don't need to load the DBs as much.

Thanks.....I was pretty jazzed about the PR! I still can't believe how long it took me to come up with a longer bar....I mean I must have been stalled out for months at 80...lol.
I will be changing to DB bench presses sometime in the near future and will need a set of good dumbell handles. I plan on getting some made at the local steel place.....can't cost that much to have the fab a couple of 1" stock bars with welded inside collars....we'll see.
