If I do two a week, and I'm wanting to incorpate squats, deadlifts, lunges, and possibly step ups, would it be good to split them up for both days? For instance... the first day do squats and lunges, and the second day do deadlifts and stepups? Right now I just do squats and lunges twice a week. I am kind of worried if I do everything in one day (especially combining squats and deadlifts in one day) that my legs would take too much abuse to recover in two days. Any advice?

Either way is fine. Just do less sets if you do them all in one day. I think I like th idea of spliting them up better though.

Sounds good to me, just make sure your erectors have enough time to recover from deadlifts before sqatting. Overtraining this area could contribute to a back injury.
