Good Documentaries

Post by Rucifer » Wed Mar 10, 2010 8:12 am

Recently I've been on a documentary kick (luckily I have netflix). I just watched recently as of late (these were all good)

Food Inc- You'll never want to eat food again

Killer at large Obesity's America's biggest threat- You'll want to go knock the USDA overhead the head with a sledgehammer

Bigger, Stronger, Faster- A sort of "pro" steroids movie, you'll realize a lot of the fears aimed at steroids are a little bloated- though I am still not taking them

King Corn- I am currently trying to only buy products without HFCS.

And I am currently watching a movie about artificial sweeteners...yikes. I've watched some here and there in the past- anyone got any good recommendations?

One that was recommended to me was 'Fat Head' Didn't get chance to see it yet though so can't say if it's any good.

I did see Food inc. though, I actually watched it a couple of times i enjoyed it that much! Is it wrong that I was feeling jealous about the selection of fast food places there are in the U.S!?

I try to avoid fast food, but every couple months the drunken craving for taco bell hits.

Pumping Iron is good for motivation, although I'm quite aware I'll never look like that but you gotta admire the beauty of their bodys!

Taco Bell? Bah. I think the last fast food I had was Taco Bueno, over a year ago.

So I just got done watching Fat Head the docu-movie, It was (relatively) entertaining, although the information won't be new to most low carbers it was well represented by various academics including Michael Eades (author of Proein Power)

My favorite line in the movie was

"The Government's only redeeming feature is it's incompetence, imagine the damage they could do if they were able to achieve what they wanted"
