I don't take any. I limit my Omega 6 and eat fish on a regular basis.

I'm not entirely sure how much it is, as I take it in capsules. But it says "6 capsules at most", and I simply ignore that and often go for 10 capsules. I don't eat fish very often, it's pretty expensive, so I try to do what I can with these capsules.

I'm like Stu to some extent. Mackerel is cheaper than tuna here in the US, and I eat a LOT of that, so I don't take a lot of the oil. BTW, I really miss the peppered mackerl we used to get at the fishmongers on the piers in Harstadt (Norway) and in the stores in Glasgow. I'd get that over the canned stuff anyday.

I take 2 "1000mg" capsules a day, but I recently noticed that they each only have 300 mg of DHA and EPA. I guess that's why they were so cheap. I have been intending to take 2000mg of O-3 per day. I'll shop for better stuff when I'm int he US next year.

Fish oil is typically 18% EPA and 12% DHA.

I take 2-3 capsules everytime I eat. I try to get between 6-10g per day (as per PN recommendations).

Really! So I'm not being cheated?

I've read that there are products that have a gram of O-3 in each capsule. Do you know about that?

I actually get my fish oil from boots chemist of all places! It's the highest concentration i could find and supposedly has 330mg EPA and 220mg DHA per 1000mg cap. I take two daily. Much better than the cheap generic muck sold in Holland and Barrett!

hmm, ok. I think if PN recommends 6-10g a day, I'll aim for that. Does everyone take O3 supplements or anEPA/DHA supplement?

I get 'Super Omega 3' from myprotein.co.uk, it has 600mg EPA and 150mg DHA per capsule. I normally have 2 a day.

I like how Dan John puts it

"2. If you really want to shock yourself, take fish oil. Now, here's an odd 'secret" that I use for my extremely motivated athletes: Continue to up the amount of fish oil capsules you take until you get a bit 'runny." (If you don't know what I mean, you've never taken too many fish oil capsules.)

From that number, back off one or two and that's the amount of capsules you need a day. If you're taking Flameout™, it'll be a smaller number than someone taking a cheap store brand because it's so concentrated in fatty acids. "

4-8 (usually 6) of Super Omega-3 Gems, so usually 3.6g of O3.
