replace the shake

Read the warrior diet from Ori Hofmekler.
It's about one BIG meal at the end of the day (not just eat whatever you want, but read the book if you want to know).
He also recommends to eat a few vegetables and fruits during the day along with water.
Very interesting book, and I'm going to try it during the winter. It isn't a gain mass plan but more of a be lean, strong and fit lifestyle (the author is jacked by the way).

Worse comes to worst, you can try some non-milk based protein if the price goes up. Pea, hemp, egg, and rice protein are all out there. You can save your stockpiled whey for post-workout and use the others for your "anytime" mixes.
That's what I've been doing anyway, really - I do better without milk products, and while whey doesn't seem to be a problem, I keep it to just my workout days just to err on the safe side. The pea and rice protein I use seems to work out pretty well for the other days. And it's not like I'm getting smaller...

+1 on the rice protein. Just don't get the natural flavors...blech!
I've actually been thinking about doing a custom mix from them for my next order. Just not sure what ratios I should use. Want to mix in some creatine into it....need to do a little more research.
The one thing that I question is, If i drink 1.5-1.75 gallons of water a day(.5-.75 with shakes) and I just up my shake intake, does it still count towards my daily water intake?

Dude, source the creatine separate and add it in by the table spoon when you want it.
If you start taking a ton (multiple shakes a day, even at 5% will be 6+ grams easy) you might get the runs.
I get my P Husk separate and add it into my morning shake, same with flax seed when I go that route.
If you have an Intense Muscle account, i will PM a guy over there that will help you out with your TP order very thoroughly, just let me know and I'll ask him if he minds. Just use his code for your first order.

I never drink it by itself. I always mix my proteins with fruit, nut butters or nuts, dextrose/maltodextrin (post-workout), flavors like cinnamon, 100% cocoa, and vanilla extract. Lately I've been trying out coconut milk (the kind in the dairy section, not the canned stuff) and almond milk - both unsweetened. They help the flavor a lot. As long as the consistency is good, it tastes like the other ingredients.nygmen wrote:I hear pea tastes like foot.
What do you think? And how do you flavor it?
