Because of a medical issue I am going to have to take a break for a while from intense lifting. I'd like to preserve as much of the progress I've made, so I'm wondering what I can do to maintain the most muscle without being able to do an intense workout.
The ideas I'm currently toying with...
Switching to low intensity, high rep lifting
Adding lots of cardio so I can maintain my high caloric/protein intake
but I don't know if either of these will help much (if at all).
