Egg - Cooking idea

Post by teafan » Tue Aug 10, 2010 10:43 am

Hi

I used this method of preperation a few times - while it is time consuming it is a very effective twist on producing scrambled egg. It results in a similar but a slightly different texture to "traditional" methods and is definately worth adding to your repitoire: might make your egg eating experience more exciting!

1) Choose a pyrex bowl an appropriate size to sit atop a pan of simmering water

2) Whisk the eggs in said bowl and place over the top of the pan

3) stir constantly

Eventually the eggs will thicken and resemble scrambled egg with exteremely small curd. You can add your salt, pepper, herbs, butter, etc now

I cant remeber what this technique is called - it's something French!

I eat so many eggs that I need more variety. Thanks for the idea. I've recently switched to only eating egg whites. I'm convinced this will be good for my abs, but it's so flavorless. The yolk really housed all the flavor. Maybe I'll do egg whites with just one yolk to compromise.

Eat the whole eggs. There are only 70 calories in an egg and the nutrition is all in the yolk. The fats in the yolk can actually help reduce ab fat by improving liver function.

Eggs are AWESOME. I could live off of eggs, cheese, beans and *hrrm* chocolate.

My fave egg recipe is an omelette, mix 3 or 4 whole eggs with chopped (frozen & thawed) spinach, salt & pepper, fry it up, put cheese and sliced tomato on top.
