In the UK we have a subsection of society we refer to as Chav's - they basically wander about towns and cities in grey adidas tracksuit bottoms blasting the worst kind of music known to man from their mobile (cell) phones. They call this kind of music Hardcore. It sounds like a child has got hold of a beat box and a kazoo to me... not exactly "hardcore". I'm with the punk faction on this one...

I went to go see the mayhem tour in montreal. I saw, Five finger death pund, Korn, rob zombie, chimera, atreyu, avenged sevenfold and a bunch of others.

Rob zombie was sick!

I wouldn't consider any of those bands hardcore. Some of them are good, yes, but not hardcore.

I went here in Indy. Hatebreed was there. One of my favorites. Got my picture taken with Jasta.

I also like: Terror, Subzero, old Throwdown, Sick of it All, Madball, Irate, ect.

Do bands get their names from old Transformers cartoons now?

The Deceptacons - Hatebreed, Irate and Terror have been seen in Sector 12.

Optimum Prime sends his trusted friends, Madball, Subzero and Throwdown to check it out.

I listen to my training partner grunt while he does palofs and planks. Does that count?

I once tried to get a little game going on an old site called The Schwarzenegger band name game. It's simple and produces some astounding Hardcore band names! All you do is make a suitable band name from a quote in an Arnie movie...I'll start:

Lightbulb Head

Transformers are AWESOME. Can't wait for number 3. I know, I'm a geek. I'm seeing Predators 3 next weekend :green:

Is there some correlation between being a geek and a gym rat? It seems to me that most (not all) of the gym rats over the age of 30 were/are also kind of geeky. I wasn't all that geeky, but I certainly didn't and don't fit into the "cool" crowd.

There's no correlation between being a geek and a gym rat but there is a correlation between being a geek and posting on internet forums.

Terror and Scott's OG band Buried Alive are probably my two biggest played bands when I lift.
