When do you have to be in Walla Walla?

so I'm back, but there's orientation, etc. I should be able to get back in the gym in a few days. P.S. our AC is extremely awesome.

Your AC had better be extremely something in Walla Walla in August! Yeah, I just loved (I lived in E Wash, not W-W) going from air conditioned buildings out into 112-degree heat and back again. But just wait. In a few months it will be 10 degrees with wind-chill to minus 30.

I'm thinking that you weren't really all that impressed with the air conditioning, and that maybe the athletic center is what has your motor revved. :red: :red:

I thought "naive Seattle boy hasn't been in hot places much."

Your comment about lifting with your dad made me nostalgic!

Ahahahahahahahaaaa the dorms don't have air conditioning, but the athletic center is really nice!

My grandparents live in Wenatchee and Palm Springs so heat isn't completely foreign to me. But it was like 75 today anyway.

That made me laugh

Wenatchee was where we went for excitement when we lived in Quincy. Sadly, we rarely ever found any! But there were more stores, and places to eat, which were scarce in Quincy.

Sort of a random comment, but I switched from Squatting in elevated heals to chucks a few sessions back and It feels way better. My weight is back more and on my heals, I can feel it in my glutes more, and my back feels stronger.

I've noticed that my upper body seems to be recovering faster than my lower body, so I'm going to try a rotation where I get 3 days between each lower body day and 2 days between upper body days:
ULxUxLUxx(L/U)xx

...
I'll still be doing 5/3/1 for the main lifts plus assistance
...
So I guess we'll see how that works out. I'll start it when I get back to school (at home for Thanksgiving until Sunday)

Well, I suppose you're right.

College is great. I'm really enjoying it. We got the full week off for Thanksgiving, which was pretty nice (I got to lift with my Dad a few times), but I'm ready to go back.

Deadlifts have been feeling pretty off lately, I'll be working technique until I can get them right.

Tried out rack pulls today and they went fine. Had the bar just below the kneecaps using a conventional stance. I'll keep doing those and hammering the RDL's to strengthen the PC and loosen the hamstrings. Lower body days will look like this

Squat 5/3/1
RDL 5x3 ish
Step-ups 2x8 ish
Pallof anti-extension/anti-rotation

Rack Pull 3x3
RDL 4x8 ish
Leg Press
anti-extension/anti-rotation
