Trouble eating BIG
So I've finally gotten to the point where my protein intake is finally a bit more than my bodyweight in grams, but with all that protein and fruits/vegetables ingested, I don't have much room for carbs: thus, I don't think I'm meeting my daily caloric quota to bulk.
Just want to hear some of the stuff you guys do to shove all the food in your belly.

Bulking up is like going on a trip. Your driving around not knowing where you are going an hoping you get there. Not a good idea.Gantz wrote:So I've finally gotten to the point where my protein intake is finally a bit more than my bodyweight in grams, but with all that protein and fruits/vegetables ingested, I don't have much room for carbs:
Gantz,
That a confusing statement. fruits and vegetables are carbs. So, that means you are eating carbs.

When taking a trip, you first find out where you are on the map. Then you see where you want to go. Then you plan your route.
For bulking that means you need to first know how many calorie you are currently eating. Do a Three Day Recall and then get you daily average caloric intake.
If you are not gaining weight, then eat more calories.

I find the easiest way is to combine carbs with fat, even though for general health it's the complete opposite to what you should be doing, but to get the calories in it works. You still get the hunger for your next meal due to the blood sugar fluctuations so you can continuously eat a lot. One of my favourite recipes is buying a 12 in cheese and tomato pizza, the cheapest one. (2 for 1.68 here!) Cook up some meat like pork loin steaks. Cut the steaks ups and put them into the pizza and fold it (Calzone). Amazing snack, over 1000 calories and a good 60g of protein. I also use cream cheese like butter, go through a tub every other day. I find pizzas the best for bulking but you will put on fat!
Yes, fruits and vegetables do contain carbs, but significantly not as much as eating something that is usually pure carb. In that sense, my stomach feels too full to eat after eating all my protein/veggies/fruits.
I don't even need to reassess my caloric intake for the past few days; I know for a fact that it did not meet my needed guidelines. Thus I am trying to get some ideas of how to get in extra calories.

No. Breaking a weight Plateau can be a horrid time. Force feedings suck.Oscar_Actuary wrote: Isn't that the easy part of getting big and strong?
I find fasted morning cardio helps my appetite tremendously. 30 mins of steady state, low intensity walking.
Also, make sure you are supping fiber. Get some husks or whatever. When you are cleaned out it is easier to pack in cals.
Getting cals from your drinks help too. Milk is good.

Fat for the win
I added cream to shakes (and a big grin spread across my face at shake time, cos it was really tasty having a chocolate whey shake with 100ml of double cream/100 ml of whole milk)
I added two table spoons of oil to my salads
I ate lots of cheese portions
I would add cheese to dinner and lunch
I ate nuts (not a ton...)
I drank pints(half litres..) of whole milk

I think you missed my point, I already overeat. But as apposed to being something I have to try to do to put on mass, its something I do almost compulsively all the time. So I already shell out the $$ for it.Jebus wrote:Careful what you wish for, It can get expensive.frigginwizard wrote:I wish I had to put effort into over eating. :(
