ban for no reason?

Post by Jeannay » Mon Jan 24, 2011 3:48 pm

Hello, im pretty active on this forum ( i dont post much but im visiting this forum very often)

i get banned recently very often for no reason (as far as i know)

I mean i never spammed or did anything else which could explain this.

Please, fix this, or at least explain me why i get banned

Thank you

Well, I know it wasn't me, and doubt if any of the others did it intentionally. I think I remember Ironman putting in a mod to the software that would delete users after a certain amount of time of inactivity for the account. Reason he upgraded security is we were under BOT attack constantly. Are you logging in when you visit, or just viewing under guest status? That could be the problem. Ironman can view this when he signs on and can give you a more complete answer.

I have no idea what you're talking about. If we banned you, you wouldn't be able to log in and post.

You can't post as a guest. Is that what you are talking about?

I have no idea. I just took a quick look in user mgmt, and your info is up to date, and showing you active (otherwise you wouldn't be posting).

It must be the IP you are coming from. Next time it does that, make note of your IP. Perhaps I mistyped an IP in the ban list. You're not even in the same region all the spam comes from, so it has to be a typo.

There should be an admin e-mail link, you can reach me that way. Once I get that I can take care of the problem.

So, if you are banned, how are you able to post? The fact that we are seeing your posts proves that you haven't been banned.

It's because your IP changes. I sent you an e-mail with instructions.
