Homemade suspension trainer.

Post by stuward » Sat Feb 19, 2011 3:56 pm

Ross just posted a new version of his homemade suspension trainer. http://rosstraining.com/blog/2011/02/17 ... -tutorial/

I was so inspired I went down to Princess Auto and bought a package of cargo straps. A couple of eye bolts in the ceiling, some ABS pipe and rope handles and it's in business. I now have a suspension system in the garage. Total cost, about $20.

Is this for doing inverted situps? Seems cheaper than gravity boots and especially cheaper than an inversion table, though with my limited handyman skills I'd be worried about safety.

It's pretty solid. Just make sure your eye bolts go into studs. I usually use it for inverted rows and suspended push ups. There are lots of exercises you can do on it.

You can use it for anything that you can use a TRX for.

Nice, lots more weight, and bumper plates at that. they're even color coded.
