Non-responders to creatine and water weight

Post by mark74 » Thu May 05, 2011 11:54 am

It is often the case that getting off creatine makes for a sharp decrease in weight as water, that was previously stored in the muscles as an effect of creatine supplementation, gets expelled.

But what about those people who do not respond to creatine? would they still be losing weight as a result?

speaking as someone who does not respond to creatine, i don't gain any weight when I'm on it, and I don't lose any weight when I come off. I don't understand why it doesn't seem to work for me, but it doesn't.

I dunno if that's very helpful but that's my experience

And thank you for sharing it. That would seem like the logical consequence to me, but let's hear what others have to say, too.

I view myself as a non-responder but maybe I should change my mind. There are confounding factors, but my bodyweight has been taking a plunge over the last three weeks (big division is 1 month, small ones 1 week)

if that's in lbs, well, it's seems well within normal variance tolerances, yeah?

If by normal you mean when getting off creatine, well I suppose so. I only have another recorded instance of losing that much over 7 days (peak to peak, 5 lbs) and I was dieting hard.
