Ooh yeah!Jungledoc wrote:Eggs. Cheese optional. Bacon optional. Ham optional. Veggies optional. Beef optional.
On special occasions, have your eggs with veggies and meat, grate some cheese and scramble it in, then top the creation with salsa and sour cream.
Re: Healthy breakfast without increasing sugar levels
Since it was resurrected... I'll semi ressurrect it again.
To the initial question of the thread.
I love a nice juicy burger shaped to have a well in the middle of it. 2 over easy eggs in the well, a slice of cheese covering the eggs, with two slices of bacon on top of the eggs.
I sautee some onions & green peppers up and place them on top sometimes also.
One of my all time favorites as far as breakfast is concerned!

Our Ozzy friends routinely put fried eggs on hamburgers. It seems odd to most Americans, and it seems odd to Australians that it seems odd to us.

Oh nice, never knew that.
Sort of a bummer though. I was walkin round thinking I was all original all this time for making something like that.
Oh, well. Way to deflate my bubble there Doc! Hehe

Re: Healthy breakfast without increasing sugar levels
Well, what you do is original. Unless you put it between 2 buns with ketchup ("tomato sauce") lettuce, pickles and a slice of beet and call it a hamburger.

It should have stopped being odd here after the Red Robbin chain came into being.

How cruel is that, to show me this picture when I'm thousands of miles from the nearest Red Robin! If I'd had any resolve to skip a bed-time snack, it was gone when this came up.Ironman wrote:It should have stopped being odd here after the Red Robbin chain came into being.

I'm not saying that American-OK, non-American=odd. Eggs on burger=odd, even in RR.
I'd take the egg off and eat it separately.

I was unsure of the egg too, but it was really good. That reminds me of the nastiest sounding thing that is actually delicious; a peanut butter bacon sandwich. You make toast with peanut butter, and then put bacon on. A couple years ago, someone managed to convince me to try this. I was pleasantly surprised.

Re: Healthy breakfast without increasing sugar levels
there's a burger van down the road from where I stay that does a roll with egg, burger, square sausage, bacon, cheese and a potato scone. Very good.
