In my undergrad- I remember using a formula called percent change or results gain efficiency formula to analyze the transfer effects of training between disimilar, similar, and specific modes (dealing with specificity). It's basically, [((post-test – pre-test)/pre-test) X 100. I am now completing my Masters Thesis and was wondering if anyone knows where I can find scientific literature regarding this formula in exercise science. I would like to read up more on it before I use it. Additionally, I would have to cite it in my references. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Scientific literature for a percentage change formula?

You don't need to cite references for basic mathematical calculations but here's a lesson that covers it:
http://calculator.maconstate.edu/percen ... index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Or you could refer to your first year math text.

Stu,
IF I ever really needed a stand up friend
I'd go get you.
and convince you to be my friend.

Any time, I'll be there.

You can just cite any good arithmetic text for (which grade do you learn to do percentages? 5th?) grade.
What if you have to calculate a simple difference? Will you have to cite scientific literature for subtraction? That would require a different text.
