Re: I'm outside the box
Me too.
Currently, I do,
Squats, close stance pause squats, good mornings, deadlifts, bench press ladders, weighted pull ups, Bent over rows, push press, and I get one:one boxing, too.
Sometimes I fit this all in over 5 days, sometimes it's 4, and sometimes it's 2 (per week). Regardless, I just make sure I cover everything above, one way or another, for whatever set/rep scheme seems suitable at the time. When I get 4-5 days to train, I'll add single leg work, more DB work, more core work. Can't guarantee it, though.
If I have a spare 30 mins, which i often get a couple of times per week, I do - Face pulls, seated rows, b/w pull ups, arm stuff, cuff work.
This is as close to a program as i've been able to stick to for the last couple of months.
It's actually going quite well.
It's called the, "I do what I can but I make sure i cover the priority exercises every week" program.

Re: I'm outside the box
You guys are making me feel a whole lot better about my decision to change up my routine! My plan is:
Monday: Full Body-ish (Squats, Bench, Rows, BW Pull Ups)
Thursday: Full Body-ish (Squats, OH Press, Deadlifts, BW Pull Ups)
Saturday: Full Body-ish Accessory (Super Set Power Cleans & RDL's, Super Set Weighted Pull Ups & BW/Weighted Dips, Super Set Barbell Curls & OH Tricep Extensions)
Chuck in 3 Interval Runs/Bike Rides a week, walking to work and a game of basketball for cardio!

Re: I'm outside the box
But if you were inside the box, it would be impossible to determine if you were alive or dead.

Re: I'm outside the box
my lower needs more rest days than the upper
(for me) upper back and press movements progress with more frequency
This is my obervations thus far
Finally, this schedule fits my life at this time.
what works best >= upper/lower

It's my intention to stay out of the box for as long as possible!

Re: I'm outside the box
I'm going to do 8-5-3, it's like 531 but but better by 3-2-2
Same 3 days a week, Same assistance/accesories as now. But I could use some rhime and rheason. I've been pushing maxes for a bit and mixing in volume, but something schedules that takes me further across all 4 big lifts without much thought from me.
Good time for a bit of a back off for a month or so as I"m in jeopardy of losing $100+ to pops in our weight lifting contest
