there's a place in Mexico where you can pay to throw a midget wearing velcro against a velcro wall.Jungledoc wrote:That could be a new event for strongman meets--Oscar tossing. Hmm. You may have something, there.

"Did your interest in strength training at all stem from your infatuation with nature and photography?" - Oscar_Actuary
Not really ... seperate interests, although both go back a long way. I've been birding/wildlife watching for as long as I can remember, and photographing wildlife since high school.

Re: Random crap
I bought a puppy yesterday, I pick it up on Sunday next week.
I'm panicking now thinking I am unprepared.
What have I done?

Today's inspirational quote by Jim Wendler: "Doctors have successfully replaced a human heart with a pig's heart. I think it's more than reasonable to expect you to keep your ass on a flat surface while pressing a barbell."

Re: Random crap
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this yet.
Christmas and New Year's both come on Tuesday this year.
Tuesday is squat day.
This is a problem. The family might not understand about it being squat day.

Re: Random crap
Tuesday is deadlift day for me, so I feel your pain.
I'm sure it will be easy to enough to move xmas and new year. Moving them to monday would be ideal because then I can take advantage of a post-xmas-bloat for the big lift.
A lot of trainers in my gym take time off around xmas and new year. A couple of my clients were surprised that i'll be working every day the gym is open. It's one of the best times to train and train others, you have the whole gym to yourself.

Re: Random crap
For me, Monday is Massage day
I've rarely trained a Monday, because I almost always train on a fri, sat, and sun, and monday night is the busiest in my gym. Can be crazy right up till 9-ish pm where as any other night it's practically empty at 9...
A guys got to get his soft tissue work in.
