Christmas Challenge.
Simple challenge to be completed by the end of the year. Choose a squat variation, pick a wight, squat it 20 times.
I did it for the first time just before last Xmas, i've decided to do it every year from now on. It sucks, of that there is no denying, but it's good character building.
Feel free to join the challenge.

Re: Christmas Challenge.
There is no winner Bob. Everyone who takes part is a 'winner'.
For what it's worth, i'll be back squatting 105kgs, which is around 60-65% of my projected 1RM. It's 69% of my actual 1RM.

Re: Christmas Challenge.
I'm always up for a challenge.
I'll see my Front Squat 20RM in two weeks time. I have no idea about the weight, but I will do my best to find it. But knowing that high-rep squats are absolut misery, this will be fun.

Re: Christmas Challenge.
Great idea. I'm only doing single-leg squats for a few weeks, and I'm doing very light weight for the moment. I'll try some 20s and see what it's like.
Re: Christmas Challenge.
I've been doing Bulgarian Split Front Squats for a while (have I invented a new variation?), does 10 on each leg count for 20 reps? I honestly feel like crying after 3 sets of this every week.

Re: Christmas Challenge.
Unfortunately you have to get 20 per leg.Nevage wrote:I've been doing Bulgarian Split Front Squats for a while (have I invented a new variation?), does 10 on each leg count for 20 reps? I honestly feel like crying after 3 sets of this every week.
Re: Christmas Challenge.

I'll give it a go with just the bar this week.
Re: Christmas Challenge.
I'm in. I'll see how much weight I can use and still get 20 reps.
Re: Christmas Challenge.
Done. I hate high rep squats. It's a struggle with any weigth on the bar.
However, I did Front Squats for 20 reps. First with 50kg. But then I thought it wasn't enough, so 60kg it was. And I finished.
Challenge completed with 20x60kg. You have been challenged Bob!

Re: Christmas Challenge.
The annual Chinup Challenge is in February every year. Inviolable. Sacred. Fixed.
Dub, there's no need to arrange anything at any point. The CC is my baby. It will be born the first of the second month.
See you in February. Goodness, I've got to lose a few pounds by the end of January.
