Anybody in the netherlands?
I'll be in the netherlands in the last week of February. Looking for a gym and anybody who wants to bend some bars.
Of course I'll be jet lagged and worthless, but it will be fun to try.

They have Heineken. I'm not a fan but I guess some people are.

So, it looks like you could bend a few bars with drunk Dutch horses.

Re: Anybody in the netherlands?
About the only German beer easily available here is Becks. I've have a couple of others that I thought were better but I can't remember the name. I would have to agree that I prefer Stella to Becks. What are some German beers that I should look for? Browsing our local liquor board listing, Other than Becks, I've found:ephs wrote:you don't sayWouter wrote:Belgian Beer > German beerephs wrote:heineken is the piss from horses that drink german beer...
BITBURGER PREMIUM LAGER,
DAB ORIGINAL DORTMUND LAGER,
ERDINGER DUNKEL WEISSBIER ALE,
ERDINGER WHEAT ALE
HOLSTEN MAIBOCK
KONIG LUDWIG WEISSBIER
WARSTEINER PREMIUM VERUM (I remember this one on a recent trip to Europe)
LOWENBRAU
HOLSTEN FESTBOCK
WARSTEINER PREMIUM DUNKEL
KROMBACHER PILS
SCHNITZER BRAU ORGANIC GLUTEN FREE
PAULANER OKTOBERFEST LAGER
PAULANER HEFE WEISSBIER
HACKER PSCHORR HEFEWEISSE
So out of this list, what would you recommend? Most seem rather pale, except for the Festbock. I'm more a fan of darker beers, red ale, bitter, stout, etc, especially Irish.
