too many almonds and not enough brazil nuts in those mixed bags.
I know, it keeps cost down.

Re: Get rid of belly
I'd be happy with more almonds, if there aren't too many peanuts.

Re: Get rid of belly

Re: Get rid of belly
I'm talking about "mixed nuts" that are mostly peanuts.
They grow peanuts here, lots of them. Every family has some in the garden. They mostly eat them raw, sometimes boiled. We roasted them ourselves when the kids were still at home. Now we buy the canned roasted ones. Other nuts are all imported. I was curious, so I looked in the pantry for a can of mixed nuts, but we don't have any, so I don't know where they come from. All the peanuts are PNG. I'm not aware of any true nuts that are grown here. Well, I guess a coconut is a nut, and they are grown here, but that's different.

Yes.
We also have grapenuts. And peanuts are pea-flavored. Would you like some of each?

How do you get oil out of a cottonseed?
I'd say, not such a good item; but if it keeps you from eating a piece of pecan pie, then sure

Re: Get rid of belly
I still use refined sugar for coffee and other things.
I understand refined sugar increases fat on the body.
So, how can I replace refined sugar?

Re: Get rid of belly
You don't replace sugar, you reduce it and start appreciating the taste of unsweetened real food, like dark chocolate and black coffee. I found that it helps to go on an elimination diet first to break the craving cycle. After a few weeks you stop craving it and you can break the addiction.derok wrote:I still use refined sugar for coffee and other things.

Stevia can be a good replacement if you have to, but I agree with Stu about eliminating it. You will find it doesn't even appeal to you after a while. If you do get Stevia, make sure it isn't bulked out with Maltodextrin or anything. I have some pure Stevia drops at home, I forgot the brand (don't use it as I don't have a sweet tooth but partner does!).
