Re: Chinup Challenge, 2013
Chin ups, 15. Kinda disappointed since I did 18 in December, but my shoulder was kinda hurting.
My goal is to do 15, but to increase my bodyweight by 5-10 pounds.

Looks like I got lost in the transfer...
I tested at 9 med grip, dead hang pull ups with my chest touching the bar each time -- last year I got 13 but it was chin over the bar.

Thanks! Could you make the goal something simple? Do you really think you can double your bw chins in a month? If so, more power to you, but for most of us, it's all we can do to eke out the 10% increase.medic002 wrote:8 chinups.

Good point, is was hitting close to 15 before I gained some weight. I was expecting to drop a few kg but even taking that into account I reckon I could do 12 at bodyweightJungledoc wrote:Thanks! Thanks for organising this, I regret not being in the last one.
Re: Chinup Challenge, 2013
Yes 10! (but I'll be happy with 15) thanks Doc (Happy B-day)
Re: Chinup Challenge, 2013
I did 1 pull up a few minutes ago. I've had the flu so it's the first time this month. I immediately felt the same pain I felt a couple of weeks ago. My goal will be to double my performance. The hard part is I plan to do it pain free.

Re: Chinup Challenge, 2013
Sorry for the late response guys!! I completed 8 pullups in my workout this morning. My goal is 15 deadhang pullups so I've got 7 more to go. I had a cut in joint of one of my fingers earlier last week and was unable to hold on to the bar without pain. Please add me to the chart JungleDoc...I'm in!

Ok, we're updated.
Re: Chinup Challenge, 2013
I'll admit it - I am currently good for exactly "0" dead hang medium grip chins.
I want to hit a 20 rep set by the end of the year.

I'm not sure what's going on, but I only could do 6 pullups yesterday. Felt weak.
Re: Chinup Challenge, 2013
Tuco--that is a huge goal, but go for it!
Lean--nothing wrong with 6--lots of people would be proud of that! If you don't know what's going on, go back to the beginning of the thread. Are you joining the challenge? It's pretty late in the month--we're about 3/4 through.
