It seems that, by general acclamation, I am a member of the overthinkers club. This has often showed up in my logs, which I kept changing and tweaking over and over for over 2 years.
Until I came up with this log sheet. Since the day I started with it I've never changed it and never even thought about it. You can track 6 months of progress for a lift on one page.
Apparently we are not allowed to upload XLSX (Excel) spreadsheets. Oh well, if you want the Spreadsheet maybe Ironman or Doc can tell us if there is a forum-legal way to distribute it.
NOTE: This and other borderline useless posts will continue until somebody posts something of more substance.

If you want the spread sheet, just PM your email address to Ken, and he can send it to you.

Here is the squat log filled out.
Note that I still have a main log that lists all exercises in a day.

For deadlift I don't follow the same kind of program, so there's a lot of coloring outside the lines of the log, but it still gives me months worth of work at a glance.

I like the voice recorder at the gym and logging into excel at home method
Re: Overthinkers: this is the log for you
I went with a similar logging last year when I did 531. It was simple: The main exercises, one assistance or two max, then get out. Simple, but effective. Shortened my workouts to mere 30-40 minutes. No need to think too much, just do prescribed reps and then address some weak points. I keep everything in my notebook, which is with me all the time.

I just buy little accounting ledgers. They're like $6, they fit in my back pocket and they've got 100 pages each.
