Hello,
I am looking into forearm exercises, and two of them list two target muscles, but the site doesn't show where these muscles are on the arm.

Could someone tell me where on these two charts they are at:

Thanks in advance.

Re: Supinator and Pronators: Where are they?
First, look here: http://exrx.net/Articulations/Forearm.html#anchor836730
For supination, it lists both "supinator" which is actually the name of a muscle, sometimes refered to more specifically as "supinator of the forearm". Look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supinator_muscle. The other supinator is the biceps brachii, and I assume that you know where that it.
For pronation, for pro. quad., look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pronator_quadratus_muscle, and for pro. teres, look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pronator_teres_muscle.
Does that help?

Re: Supinator and Pronators: Where are they?
The other approach is to pronate or supinate your wrist under resistance, and feel what's tight.
Re: Supinator and Pronators: Where are they?
Thanks for the reply. The diagram on wiki look nothing like the ones on exrx.
So, where would they be found on the diagrams on the exrx site (what letter/number would the be)?

Re: Supinator and Pronators: Where are they?
The fact that there is no obvious link given in the pages you provided tells me that there is no picture on ExRx for those muscles. ExRx is a great resource but it's not omnipotent.Brak wrote:Thanks for the reply. The diagram on wiki look nothing like the ones on exrx.

Re: Supinator and Pronators: Where are they?
Thanks for the reply Tim. I was surprised that its not complete - I was under the impression that it was.
There are in the two wrist/forearm diagrams non-colored muscles with letters/numbers pointing to them. So I was wondering which, if any, of those would be the muscles in question.

Re: Supinator and Pronators: Where are they?
OK. I'm losing patience. I spent 15 or 20 minutes googling this for you. You need to take this one on for yourself. You can figure it out, you really can.
