Summer is coming

Post by s3v3ns » Mon May 26, 2014 2:19 am

Hey guys, i have this huge devastating problem. Summer is coming. I am going to a small town for 2 months and i am afraid of losing my gains :D.
I was thinking of doing exercises like pull ups, chin ups, knuckle push ups, body weight squats and jumping rope. Will it be enough to keep my gains or can you maybe suggest more exercises and how should i rotate those. I was thinking do them all few times a week. While keeping gains i would still like to burn some fat(that is where the jumping rope comes in).
I am open to all suggestions.
Thanks

Bodyweight squats is not enough to keep up your legs. On the other hand, it's a good opportunity to work on your pistols. The reason is that you need to get to the 60-80% of 1RM range most of the time. Unless you have a 100# squat, body weight squats aren't going to do that. Pistols (add weight as appropriate) will get most people to the right range.

unless you've been running loads of anadrol and are going cold turkey for the 2 months away, losing gains isn't something you have to worry about.

Bodyweight circuits are a fine way to get some exercise done, but it's not like you'll shrivel up and lose all your muscle and strength if you can't hit the gym for two months.

The pistol advice is awesome, thanks man. Is everything else fine or maybe should add something?

You could always follow Doc's favorite advice... Find a stone and pick it up and put it down many times. Too light, find a heavier stone.
