Yea that's what I was saying. There is no other angle to hit it from. Unless you count inclines, but that's working a different muscle. Barbell and dumbbell both have their advantages. I like to use them both. I alternate them. I alternate flat and incline opposite, so I always have 1 dumbbell and 1 barbell exercise. If you are doing high volume you could even do all 4.
supersets are the only applications for flys I've found to be useful. The thing that gets me is seeing people do lots of flys and then a bunch of triceps work. The only reason to do lots of isolation is for a very large, very cut bodybuilder to make certain muscles larger then other ones so they stand out better.
