Flexibility Help!

Post by SpirosGyrosAU » Sat Oct 03, 2009 7:31 pm

Thanks in advance for any help with this post.

I've had problems with lifting weights for a while where I experience pains in my left-shoulder and lower back. I've posted on another forums with a photo on what my current posture is and I've been advised the following from an excellent poster that I have:-

- moderate case of lordosis (downward tilt of the pelvis - rounding your spine backward.)
- protracted shoulder girdles
- winged scapulae

I have seen the various exercises on this website so resolve the issue but how should I incoroporate exercises into a program to be rid of these problems forever?

Are you also able to help me with an overal flexibilty problem with will aid in my whole body (along with my existing problems) that I can use on my running days as I was thinking of doing stretching 3 times a week to try and reclaim my balance.

There are a couple of articles over on T-Muscle that directly address these in a systematic way.

The first is the whole Neanderthanl No More series, which starts here:

and ends with part IV:

Or you can look here:

Those should give you enough information on how to use the various exercises to deal with your issues. You'll need to do some homework reading and researching, though.

Hope that helps,
