wait, Im confused. A chicken can be used to feed more than one person? Is there a part that can be eaten that Im not eating?

You're right. A small (682g) chicken only has 1600 calories in it. That's hardly a snack.

Luckily in Canada the typical grocery strore chickin is 1 Kg, slightly larger than that.

I don't know. Do you eat the gizzards, liver, and brains?

those things dont come with the pre-cooked chickens. But I do very much enjoy gizzards/livers fried up with some onions.

Is the brain really something people eat? is it good?

I don't eat them. But my cat eats the heads off birds, so they must be edible.
