Special Strength Training: Manual for Coaches

Post by stuward » Fri May 27, 2011 7:42 am

I just found this in my inbox today. Yuri Verkhoshansky was the coach of the Soviet Union's national Track & Field team. He passed away recently and this is the book he was working on when he died.
We made another step in the project of divulgating Prof. Verkhoshansky’s works; his last book, “Special Strength Training: Manual for Coaches”, has been published you may order it following this link: http://www.verkhoshansky.com/SpecialStr ... fault.aspx.

Knowing this book could be his last, Prof. Verkhoshansky whished add in it as much of his knowledge as it was possible without going beyond the contest of the Special Strength Training (SST); it is the most comprehensive book on the matter.

The reader can find in it all the fundamental theoretic elements of the SST as well as practical indications for the means and methods and many programs for cyclic, acyclic, sport games and combat sports.

In it contains elucidation of rationale of organizing Special Strength Training and its application within the Block Training System which has been widely explained for the first time in a book.

All its content comes from experiments and application in field of the authors.
